Joomla

Like Drupal, Joomla also needs you to provide the database name during the installation. The installation process in Joomla is similar to Drupal except for a few extra options that Joomla provides during installation. For example, you can choose if your Joomla site should be offline after installation, and you get to see all the configurations before the final installation happens. Also, as a security feature, the installer requires removing the installation code folder after installation.

SugarCRM

SugarCRM is arguably the most well-known and most popular open source CRM system. It's also the basis for several other CRMs including SuiteCRM (which Opensource.com covered in 2013) and Vtiger.

SugarCRM performs just about every function a business might need, including customer, lead, and contract management; reporting and analytics; mobile support; and a suite of marketing tools.

SugarCRM is available in two versions: a hosted version and a Community edition. The hosted version is a paid version, and is available in three packages (if you want to get your feet wet, you can sign up for a seven-day free trial). Users can also download the Community edition and install it on their own servers. The Community edition lacks a number of the features of the hosted version, but is definitely useful for smaller businesses.

If UPS information systems were not available, it will affect the effectiveness of UPS because they will be facing some problem. The process of providing information to customer will be slow. This is because with this system customer will be able to check the status of any package from the desktop computer linked to the central computers and respond immediately to inquiries from customer. So without it, it will slowdown the process of providing information.

Next, the operation of UPS will become slow because UPS is using technology and information to monitor and controls the operation when information system does not avaible, it will effect to the operation of the organization.

Moreover, UPS need to spend more on the cost. The cost to deliver the product and monitor the performance of driver will increases when information system does not occur.

UPS used the dispatcher in computer center to download the label data and use special software to create the most efficient delivery route for each drive that consider traffic,weather condition and the location of each step.
To further increase cost saving and safety, driver are trained to use "340 method" developed by industrial engineers to optimize the performances of every task from lifting and loading boxes to selection a package from a shelf in the truck.
USP has also used handheld computer called delivery information Acquistion device(DIAD) which can access wireless cell phone network.Drives can know their task by handled , the DIAD has function which is automatically captures customers signatures.

The strategic business objective that UPS information system address were provided best customer services to the customers. Every year UPS spend more than $1 billion to maintain high level of customer services.

UPS also focus on improve the efficiency of the performance. UPS invest and use a lot of systems or software to increase the company performance. For example, Packing Tracking System, UPS using this system yo monitor and re-route package throughout the delivery process. The UPS can always improve operational efficiency.

Activity 3 : What is opinion on Internet censorship?  Should the government filter the Internet contents and restricts our access to certain website?

In my view , there are certain things that should be filter and sOme are not. A restriction or censorship is highly needed for the inappropriate web content since nowadays. Everybody from every  level of ages is using Internet. However, Internet contents that been used for educational purposes should not be filter because that is one of the way to educate people.

Education-computer assisted learning is also the future trend of ICT. The effectiveness of computer-assisted learning (CAL) has not been conclusively demonstrated. To date, it has been shown to be less effective, on average, than other forms of intervention in education. In considering the results of evaluative research in computer assisted learning, one has to avoid confounding the medium with the method.Generally, computer-assisted learning software is under pinned by an older, neo-behaviourist theory of learning, one that has been displaced in the classroom by more social constructivist views of learning. Computer-assisted learning programs, especially integrated learning systems, are generally costly. Their efficacy and cost effectiveness relative to alternative programs, particularly with respect to reading, is questionable. While comparative research exists with respect to effectiveness, good comparative research in relation to cost effectiveness is lacking.

Much faster internet is a must in future. New information and communications technologies (ICT), in particular high-speed internet, are changing the way companies do business, transforming public service delivery and democratizing innovation. With 10 percent increase in high speed Internet connections, economic growth increases by 1.3 percent. ICT provides economic opportunities to both urban and rural populations. One common contribution is that it increases productivity and makes the market work more efficiently, although the magnitude of the impact on economic growth is likely to be different. The fact that virtually all new mobile customers in the coming years will be in developing countries, and more specifically in rural areas, means that the ICT platform is reaching population with low levels of income and literacy.

Curved screens become more and more familiar to public now. Some smartphone and television used the curved screens for catching our attention. The Samsung Galaxy Round, launched in South Korea, in year 2013 has a 5.7-inch 1080p full HD screen but there's a difference — it curves on the vertical axis in a similar fashion to some of Samsung's OLED TVs. For now, we cant deny that we are still doubt about the benefits of curved television screens, but the demonstrations of curved computer screens are impressive and stunning, particularly in multi-monitor setups. For example, Samsung is showing an immersive gaming environment with three curved monitors. Besides that, the curved screen can make the radius between your eye and the screen remain consistent, and even reducing eye strain. In future, it will become a must for every family, we believe, plus, the curved screen can even become foldable in the future!

Apart from it, imagine being able to charge a laptop from 0% to 100% for just 15 minutes. Isn’t it cool and super convenient? China Smartphone manufacturer OPPO launched it super fast charging technology, VOOC charge in 2013 and claimed that it is 4 times faster than conventional charging speed. That means, OPPO smartphone can be charged to full from 0% to full in just 45 minutes. Since then, Qualcomm launched their QuickCharge2.0, MTK launched their MTK quickcharge technology. In 2016, OPPO launched Super VOOC and claimed that we can charge a phone fully in 15 minutes! So, lets imagine, if we forget to charge our phone, we can just left our phone with charger for 15 minutes, super convenient!

Mobile Money is an electronic wallet service, available in many countries, that lets users store, send and receive money using their mobile phone. Its safe, easy electronic payments make Mobile Money a popular alternative to bank accounts. It can be used on both smartphones and basic feature phones.The ICT infrastructure with existing mobile networks currently utilized in those countries might be able to give us a better solution for providing certain level of high-quality transport services as similar as in developed countries, by means of making transport systems cheaper, simpler and easier to utilize.For example, the integration of Tmoney and mobile – so-called “Mobile Tmoney” – would be one of the most successful cases in Korea as an initial model to be taken into account by developing countries, particularly when it comes to utilizing their existing telecommunication infrastructure, whether it is 3G or 4G, smart phones, phone-embedded GPS, motion sensors, maps or other technologies.

The transformation of the technology ICT becoming more sophisticated nowadays. So just imagine how about the future in ICT world. Hardware in nanotechnology will become one of the best feature.  In the future, there will be a breakthroughs across the ICT to be more faster, smaller, and cheaper devices that will permit computing, some forms of which we haven't conceived of yet. Memory storage before the advent of nanotechnology relied on transistors, but for the future reconfigurable arrays are formed for storing large amount of data in small space. For example, we can expect to see the introduction of magnetic RAMs and resonant tunnel elements in logical circuits in the near future. Every single nanobit of a memory storage device is used for storing information. This means that with the nanotechnology in ICT world it will make it more reliable.
